Your child’s primary teeth are very important. They help them chew properly, speak clearly, look attractive as well as maintain correct position for their permanent teeth to erupt. I recommend examination every six months, beginning between age two and three. Even at that young age I can determine how your child’s teeth and mouth are developing.

Your initial visit traditionally includes a thorough examination, x-rays when necessary, cleaning and fluoride treatment, as well as advice for you to encourage the best home care. Additionally I will discuss any treatment recommendations at this time.

Beginning at age seven, as part of your child’s complete examination and as recommended by the American Association of Orthodontics, an orthodontic evaluation will be offered to all children by Dr. Cassandra Gandia, DDS, who is our orthodontic specialist. We work together to provide the finest care for your child.

I provide comprehensive children’s dental care including prevention, hygiene instruction, composite fillings, protective sealants as well as more advanced treatment when necessary.

I fully appreciate that visiting any kind of doctor can sometimes be uncomfortable for young children. I am sensitive to that issue through my extensive experience working with children.
